BOOK REVIEW: Teardrop by Lauren Kate.

Hello Booklovers! How are you doing? Today I'm going to review Teardrop by Lauren Kate.
Teardrop is the first book in the dark fantasy, Teardrop duology.
Title: Teardrop. (Teardrop duology #1)
Author: Lauren Kate
Published by: Dela Corte Press in 2013.
Find it on: Goodreads
Summary:
Teardrop (Teardrop, #1)Never, ever cry...

Seventeen-year-old Eureka won't let anyone close enough to feel her pain. After her mother was killed in a freak accident, the things she used to love hold no meaning. She wants to escape, but one thing holds her back: Ander, the boy who is everywhere she goes, whose turquoise eyes are like the ocean. And then Eureka uncovers an ancient tale of romance and heartbreak, about a girl who cried an entire continent into the sea. Suddenly her mother's death and Ander's appearance seem connected, and her life takes on dark undercurrents that don't make sense. Can everything you love be washed away?

Thoughts:
The idea of this book was super intrigued me. When I saw the cover and read the Summary I was like: "OMG OMG I need that book in my life!". Then the book came out and I just literally ran to the bookstore and then I read it.
I have to say that the story is so beautifully written, but there are some aspects of the book that I really didn't like.
1-. The writing. Lauren's writing make stories so unique but sometimes she goes out of the story a lot. Sometimes she is just writing like thons and thons of things that are not really necessarily for the plot, character's and the book.
2-. Eureka. I really like this character, she's very damaged by all her past and also by all the things that happens in this book. But I couldn't connect with her. I might enjoyed the book if the book was written in 1 POV.
But  I really like the book, if you have time for a slow ending maybe you might like this book. It's super awesome and the ending is just so  cliff-hanger awesome.

Rating: 3 sstars <<Slow but so awesome!>>

I Hope you're having a good readings! See you soon Booklovers! <3

BOOK REVIEW: Eve & Adam by Michael Grant and Katherine Applegate.

Hi Booklovers! I'm S.H Huerta and today I'm going to review Eve & Adam, an exciting sci-fi YA novel by Michael Grant and Katherine Applegate.
Title:
Authors: Michael Grant and Katherine Applegate
Published by: Feiwel & Friends in 2012.
Find it on: Goodreads

Summary:
16152217In the beginning, there was an apple—

And then there was a car crash, a horrible injury, and a hospital. But before Evening Spiker's head clears, a strange boy named Solo is rushing her to her mother's research facility. There, under the best care available, Eve is left alone to heal.

Just when Eve thinks she will die—not from her injuries, but from boredom—her mother gives her a special project: Create the perfect boy.

Using an amazingly detailed simulation, Eve starts building a boy from the ground up. Eve is creating Adam. And he will be just perfect . . . won't he?
Thoughts:
OK, this book is really good, from the very first chapter the book is amazing, is packed with ction, very good characters and a lot of secrets and mysteries to discover. from the very beginning we know that Mrs. Spikers (Eve mom) has a very dark secret, and that secret can can e the hole live of Eve. But this book also tells the story of Solo, the boy that can change the Eve's life with that little secret.
What will happen next? You really have to read the book if you want to know.
Rating: 4  stars. <<Such a good book, one of my favorites but I really want more!>>.

Then there's a novella: Love sucks and then you die.
Summary:
In this short-story prequel to Katherine Applegate and Michael Grant’s Eve and Adam, fifteen-year-old E.V. (Evening) doesn’t know where she fits in to the universe. After a particularly disastrous school dance experience, she’s begins to wonder if she fits in at all. She did bloody the school heartthrob’s nose and all because he tried to kiss her. Having been accused of being a "frigid bitch," E.V. begins to question her place in the cosmic world of relationships and dating to little avail; her CEO mother is emotionally unavailable, her dad is dead, and her best friend thinks true love exists in the back seat of a used Honda. But then E.V. spots someone, a blip on her otherwise indifferent radar that suggests there just might be someone out there for her . . .
Thoughts:
This novella is so meh! This novella is not necessary for the story, this novella is only to see characters.
Rating: 3 stars <<I was searching for something more>>

BOOK REVIEW: Shatter me by Tahereh Mafi.

HI! We are here to start the blog, and for the very first review I'm gonna write about SHATTER ME.
Tittle: Shatter me. (Shatter me series #1)
Author: Tahereh Mafi.
Published by: Harper Collins in 2011.
Goodreads: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/10429045-shatter-me
Summary:
I have a curse
I have a gift

I am a monster
I'm more than human

My touch is lethal
My touch is power

I am their weapon
I will fight back

Juliette hasn’t touched anyone in exactly 264 days.
The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette’s touch is fatal. As long as she doesn’t hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don’t fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.
The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war – and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she’s exactly what they need right now.
Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.

Thoughts:
Ok, let me tell you that I read the book because Whitney (from whitty novels)  is such a very big fan of the book, SO FAN (seriously she is a very big fan). So I said: "Well if she is fangirling so hard because of the series lets read it."
And that´s what I did. And OMFG, Shatter me is awesome, AWESOME. Ok the deal with this is book is this: If you want a fast paced book with a lot of action this is not the book. The very big deals with this book is Tahereh's  writing and the characters. Seriously, the writing is so beautiful and so perfect, also the characters are so good (also good looking, haha) because all of them have this awesome past that make them as they are, so yeah. The book is introductive but it's also interesting see how Tahereh builded this post-apocalyptic world where the war is super conflictive, but the romance is also one of the biggest things with this because we have Adam and Warner (Warner is in book two), but is so good to see how a very interesting  love triangle starts growing. The very big thing happens in book two were the war is starting and we can see how the characters have "the character development".
So if you want a very inspirational book with romance and a little of war that it's going to grow in the books this one is for you!
My rating:
4.5 stars! <<GOOD! Maybe some things were boring but I really liked it!>>

This is all for now, Don't forget to add the book in your wishlist if you're interested. Bye!
