BOOK REVIEW: Red Rising by Pierce Brown.

Hello Booklovers! It's time for another Review, and this review goes for the WeAreBooklovers January Book of the Month!
Title: Red Rising (Red Rising trilogy #1)
Author: Pierce Brown
Published by: DelRey books in 2014.
Red Rising (Red Rising Trilogy, #1)Summary:
The Earth is dying. Darrow is a Red, a miner in the interior of Mars. His mission is to extract enough precious elements to one day tame the surface of the planet and allow humans to live on it. The Reds are humanity's last hope.

Or so it appears, until the day Darrow discovers it's all a lie. That Mars has been habitable - and inhabited - for generations, by a class of people calling themselves the Golds. A class of people who look down on Darrow and his fellows as slave labour, to be exploited and worked to death without a second thought.

Until the day that Darrow, with the help of a mysterious group of rebels, disguises himself as a Gold and infiltrates their command school, intent on taking down his oppressors from the inside. But the command school is a battlefield - and Darrow isn't the only student with an agenda.

Thoughts:
Well... How can I tell you how much I hate/love I have for this book? Seriously! I. Can't. Decide. There are so many things I love but... so many I hate so I'm gonna tell you why I like and not like this book.

Like because:
OMG. That quotes were so amazing! All the pages of the book are quoted; seriously I think that I love the quotes, best quotes ever!

The characters. The characters were soo strong and each character was so amazing in its ways. I love the characters!
Confusing because:
The world. WHAT? First I thought the world was so sci-fi and so technological and advanced and then... It's a fantasy world? What? I was so confused by this but at the end I understood it.
Hate because:
THE WRITING STYLE. This writing style it's not my writing style. This writing style was difficult to understand because I was Reading one scene in one day and in the other paragraph its other day, other scene, and other characters. WHAT? NO. NO. This is not my thing, but not only that, this book (the middle part) was written like a summary. NO. NO. I don't like that, but well, what can I do?
Even though I really didn’t like it I’m gonna try with book two because the story was captivating, so I’m intrigued!
Rating: 3 stars “That writing style was not fair!!”
Well I think it’s all for now so, See you!

BOOK REVIEW: The 5th Wave.

Hello Booklovers! How are you doing? Today I'm gonna review The 5th wave by Rick Yancey.
Title: The 5th Wave. (The 5th Wave #1)
Author: Rick Yancey.
Published by: Putman in 2013.
Find it on: Goodreads.
Summary:
16101128After the 1st wave, only darkness remains. After the 2nd, only the lucky escape. And after the 3rd, only the unlucky survive. After the 4th wave, only one rule applies: trust no one.

Now, it’s the dawn of the 5th wave, and on a lonely stretch of highway, Cassie runs from Them. The beings who only look human, who roam the countryside killing anyone they see. Who have scattered Earth’s last survivors. To stay alone is to stay alive, Cassie believes, until she meets Evan Walker.

Beguiling and mysterious, Evan Walker may be Cassie’s only hope for rescuing her brother—or even saving herself. But Cassie must choose: between trust and despair, between defiance and surrender, between life and death. To give up or to get up.

After the 1st wave, only darkness remains. After the 2nd, only the lucky escape. And after the 3rd, only the unlucky survive. After the 4th wave, only one rule applies: trust no one.

Thoghts:
This book is written in 3 different POV's: Cassie, Zombie and in 3rd person (only 2 chapters). The thing with the POV's was a problem for me. Why? Well, it's because You are following Cassie for 20 or 25 pages and then for other 30 pages you are following the story of Zombie, which is very different. So, the thing it's that at the beginning I was like: "Ugh, now I have to read the Zombie chapter." So at the beginning I had this problem but from the page number 100 the book took a different path. It became a very fast paced book with characters with different stories that started to have a relationship even when they seem to be very different. At the end I loved how Rick Yancey destroyed the earth and also the plot twist of the book. I'm alredy reading Book 2 "The Infinite Sea", so I hope I love it so so much!
Rating: 4.5 stars. "At the beginning it was a very slow book, but from page 100 it's a very fast-paced book! Awesome read!"

That's all for now. Hope to see you soon in the blog! Bye!
